OK, so shoot me. It's another trip looking at flowers but this time we included a drive along dirt roads with lunch and fun at the end. So, technically it's a trip, not a wildflower expedition.
Crown King is not what you would call a large town but it is interesting and the folks have a sense of humor. If you read the history you'll see it has had it's share of fires, but usually they save the saloon. 1900 Town burned;saloon saved. History repeats itself in 1950, 1988 and 2003. We ate at The Mill, which has a history of it's own plus great service and good food. Hope it's there when we go back!
